the 400th City in the state of Florida when we incorporated
on August 29, 1997. Now, the City of Marco Island is home
to over 15,000 year-round residents, and 35,000 seasonal
residents. It is the destination of visitors from around
the world who come to enjoy the subtropical climate, pristine
beaches, fishing, golfing, and tennis -- a recreational
paradise.
